Why did you get involved in these clubs and organizations?
I wanted to get involved in something that would allow me to gain experience in leadership activities. So a few years ago, I found that there was no Hindu Organization; and I believed that having a Hindu Organization would serve the University's goal of Diversity. My friends and I founded the Hindu Student Council, and from that point on I was involved.
What do you think are the most important qualities or characteristics of a leader? Why?
Most important quality a leader can have is to delegate tasks. What this does is create an atmosphere of ownership in individuals for an organization. If member’s in an organization feel ownership they will work for the organization and an organization will have experienced leadership in future.
What advice would you give to other leaders?
Most important thing you can do for your organization is create future leaders. So start working on it from NOW!
Who is a leader who has been a mentor to you and why?
My grandfather has been a leader who has been a mentor in my life. He is my mentor because he works for the people and cause of an organization, and not for his individual desire to seek power or fame. He also doesn’t forget to recognize other people for their hard work.
What is your most memorable Razorback Moment?
There are two most memorable Razorback moment for me. Before starting my college I went to R.O.C.K camp, and that is one of the best things a new freshman can do, and second hosting a peace banquet, called Millap Banquet, with different religious groups.
